Cookie policy
What cookies may be used, why they are used and how preferences can be changed.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text values stored by a browser. They can support essential website operation or, with consent, help measure website performance.
2. Strictly necessary cookie
ct_cookie_consent
Purpose: stores the visitor’s consent choice.
Type: strictly necessary.
Duration: 6 months.
3. Optional Google Analytics cookies
Google Analytics is not loaded before explicit analytics consent. No page-view or analytics request is sent before acceptance, and no advanced cookieless analytics pings are used.
_ga
Purpose: distinguishes users.
Default duration: 2 years.
_ga_*
Purpose: preserves session state.
Default duration: 2 years.
4. Analytics configuration
When a real GA4 Measurement ID is activated, analytics storage remains denied by default and collection starts only after opt-in. Google Signals and advertising personalization must remain disabled. No user IDs, names, email addresses, form content or other directly identifying information may be sent to Google Analytics. GA4 user-level and event retention must be configured to 2 months.
5. Your choices
The consent interface provides equivalent access to “Accept analytics”, “Reject non-essential” and “Manage preferences”. Optional consent is never preselected. The permanent “Cookie preferences” link in the footer can reopen the settings at any time.
6. Withdrawal
Withdrawing analytics consent immediately prevents future analytics collection by this website. Accessible _ga and _ga_* cookies are removed where technically possible. Browser or domain restrictions may prevent deletion of every third-party value, in which case browser settings can also be used.
7. Browser controls
Browsers can block or delete cookies through their privacy settings. Blocking the strictly necessary consent cookie means the website may ask for a choice again on a later visit.
8. Contact
Questions about cookies or consent can be sent to contact@crosstechit.com.
